The Cleveland Guardians are keeping close tabs on yet another of their many elite prospects.
While everybody’s talking about C.J. Kayfus, Travis Bazzana, and Chase DeLauter, Angel Genao continues to make a name for himself.
Genao, the 55th-ranked prospect in all of baseball per MLB.com, has done great in his rehab assignments at the Arizona Complex League.
As reported by Guardians Prospective on X, Genao just homered in his third straight game on Monday, blasting a solo homer to lead off the third inning against the White Sox.

The 21-year-old shortstop is a switch-hitter, but he throws with his right arm.
He’s currently there recovering from a right shoulder injury, and given that he plays on the right side of the infield, the team will take things slowly with him before sending him back out there.
The injury was a big setback for the promising infielder, who was penciled in as a potential breakout candidate after posting impressive numbers last season.
He dominated at Low-A Lynchburg and High-A Lake County last season, combining to slash .330/.379/.499 with an OPS of .878, 28 doubles, and 10 home runs.
He was expected to be promoted to Double-A Akron at some point this season, but given this situation, the team might change its plans with him, at least for the time being.
For now, all that matters is that he gets back to full strength with no setbacks, as he will have more than enough time and opportunities to show his worth in the future.
