The Cleveland Guardians have one of the best farm systems in baseball.
Hopefully, it won’t be long before they reap what they’re sowing and get some results in the majors.
As shown by Guardians Prospective on X, they have one of the hottest hitters in Double-A right now.
First baseman Jorge Burgos has 68 RBIs, which puts him at the top of the Eastern League.
Cleveland #Guardians 23yr old (1B) prospect Jorge Burgos drove in a pair of runs today (1-3 2RBI) for Akron including this RBI base hit in the 3rd inning in the team's win over Erie.

Of course, Burgos still has some major hurdles to clear before making his way to the majors.
That’s not going to happen this season, but it wouldn’t be shocking to see him get promoted to Triple-A to close out the year.
He could also play there next season.
The Guardians have struggled to find any sort of consistent offensive production for most of the campaign, and could have an opening at first base.
Carlos Santana might be traded, and even if that’s not the case, he hasn’t been very productive this season and might not be brought back.
Kyle Manzardo and David Fry will most likely hold down the fort in the future, but perhaps Burgos will also enter the mix at some point.
