When it rains, it pours for the Cleveland Guardians.
They might have lost Luis L. Ortiz and Emmanuel Clase for the season, and maybe beyond, and some of their big-name players seem to be on the block.
On top of the rumors surrounding All-Star outfielder Steven Kwan, analyst Jon Heyman believes that ace Shane Bieber could also be on his way out before the trade deadline.
“Former Cy Young winner Shane Bieber should draw significant interest. Looked good in his rehab start for Double-A Akron (4 IP, 3H, 1ER, 0BB, 7K) and word is he felt good too,” Heyman wrote on X.

Bieber has been out after missing most of last season because of Tommy John surgery.
He was supposed to be back at some point this season, but he suffered a setback in his recovery in June, so his return had to be pushed back.
He’s cleared most hurdles since then, including multiple rehab starts.
Bieber has a player option for next season, and most reports agree that he will decline it to become a free agent.
The Guardians would get a compensatory draft pick if he leaves as a free agent, which might be the only incentive to keep him around until the end of the season.
But if they get a better trade return than they could get from that pick, they could deal him in the next couple of days.
