Led by a scorching hot start to the season and the best bullpen in all of baseball, the Cleveland Guardians knocked on the door of a World Series appearance in 2024.
Now, with Spring Training getting closer, one of their best players is making sure to stay sharp for the upcoming campaign.
In a clip by Guardians Prospective on X, a recent video shows Emmanuel Clase training hard ahead of the season.

The stellar closer is getting some work done in his native Dominican Republic, and it seems like he hasn’t missed a beat.
For good reasons, Clase was chosen as the league’s reliever of the year.
He’s just one of three players in the last century to log at least 130 innings pitched and have a career ERA below 2.00.
So far, the Dominican hurler has made 318 appearances, logging a 16-23 record with a stunning 1.67 ERA.
He also has 158 career saves, a 0.89 WHIP, and a 5.2 strikeout-to-walk ratio.
He was nothing short of spectacular last season, going 4-2 with a 0.61 ERA, a 0.66 WHIP, a 6.6 strikeout-to-walk ratio, 47 saves, and just three blown save opportunities.
Clase’s best years are still ahead of him.
He’s just 26 years old and not even at the top of his game yet.
The Guardians’ starting rotation should be much improved this season, but even if that’s not the case, the bullpen will continue to play a crucial role for Stephen Vogt’s team.
Fortunately, they can rely on the best closer in baseball to handle business down the stretch.
