The Cleveland Guardians might not be the most consistent squad in baseball, but they sure are fighters.
Prior to this week, they had lost ten straight games, a streak that put their postseason hopes in serious jeopardy.
However, they have bounced back with five wins in their last six games: three vs. the Houston Astros and two vs. the Chicago White Sox.
Their most recent victory came on Saturday, 6-2 over the Pale Hose.
As always, Guardians star Jose Ramirez was in the middle of the action.
He drove in a run, which helped him move up on the all-time RBI franchise leaderboard.
“Jose Ramirez has been red hot this past week. He has moved into third place, past Hal Trosky, on the all-time Cleveland RBI list, with 912,” Al Pawlowski posted on X.

At this point, Ramirez has done enough in his brilliant career to put himself in a position to lead or finish among the leaders in just about every major offensive category.
He will likely eclipse 1.000 RBI next year at 33 years old, still in his prime.
He has been an RBI machine for most of his MLB tenure, and even in a bad Guardians offense, he has 48 on the season.
The best thing about J-Ram, however, is his versatile offensive game.
His wide array of offensive skills was on display on Saturday, as he scored a run, logged a hit, drove in a run, walked two times, and stole three bases.
There is really nothing more fans could possibly ask for: he is one of the most underrated stars in the game.
