The Cleveland Guardians continue to get some steady production from one of their key veterans.
Jose Ramirez was instrumental in beating the Milwaukee Brewers on Monday night.
He then doubled down on that kind of strong performance on Tuesday.
Ramirez homered in the first inning and added another run in the eighth to help his team get its second consecutive shutout win with a 2-0 triumph.
With that performance, Ramirez now leads MLB (minimum 50 plate appearances) with a .404 (19-for-47) batting average and on-base percentage (.491) in interleague play.

With his seventh home run of the campaign, Ramirez gave the team a 1-0 lead early in the game.
He got to Quinn Priester on a 3-1 pitch and sent it right into the right field seats for a modest, yet efficient swing.
Then, with the team hanging onto a 1-0 lead, he got to first on an infield hit, and Kyle Manzardo made sure to drive him home with a triple to center field.
That was on the heels of a three-steal performance on Monday night that also saw him score two runs, and he played a role in four of the team’s five runs.
Ramirez is one of the most versatile and impactful players in the Majors.
He doesn’t usually get the praise and recognition he deserves, which is a curse for small-market teams.
Nevertheless, he’s not too bothered about that, and he lets his play do all the talking.
So far, he’s hitting .295 with 19 RBI and a .359 OBP.
