The Cleveland Guardians bullpen was historically good in 2024.
The unit stole the show this year and was good, deep and consistent as the organization reached the American League Championship Series.
In fact, the relief corps were one of the reasons they made it that far, constantly bailing out struggling starters and allowing the offense a chance to come back into games.
28-year-old left-hander Tim Herrin was a big part of that bullpen.
The underrated reliever is working hard on his physique to stay at the top of his game in 2025.

You can see Herrin working on his core muscle and lower-body strength in a drill.
With fellow lefty Sam Hentges expected to miss most, if not all of the 2025 campaign, Herrin is expected to be one of the top southpaws out the bullpen.
Herrin is a player development success story.
He is a 29th round draft pick from 2018, so there weren’t many hopes deposited on his arm.
He had an ERA over 5.00 in his debut season of 2023, but didn’t let adversity get in his way and worked hard to improve his game.
The result of that determination and hard work was a 1.92 ERA in 65.2 innings in 2024, when he was one of the top left-handed relievers in the American League.
The Guardians are counting on him to repeat or improve that performance, and he knows it won’t be easy.
That’s what he is training hard with that goal in mind.
