The Cleveland Guardians have been highly successful in 2024 and are, quite comfortably, at the top of the AL Central.
They won another close game against the San Francisco Giants to take the series on Sunday and maintain the best record in the American League.
As you would expect from such a successful team, there have been some incredible individual performances to this point.
As a result, Cleveland is sending a total of five players to Arlington to play in the 2024 All-Star Game on July 16.
“David Fry has also been named All-Star as a designated hitter. That gives the Guardians five (5) All-Stars heading to Texas in less than two weeks: José Ramírez, Steven Kwan, Emmanuel Clase, Josh Naylor and David Fry,” Guards insider Mandy Bell tweeted.

For Fry, Kwan, and Naylor, it will be their first Midsummer Classic.
Clase and, particularly, Ramirez, are already All-Star Game veterans.
J-Ram and Kwan, additionally, will be starters for the junior circuit: the former has 23 home runs, 76 RBI and a .853 OPS; while the latter leads MLB in batting average with an impressive .364 mark and has a career-high nine home runs before reaching the All-Star break.
Fry is enjoying a breakout party, hitting a solid .305/.412/.508 with eight home runs and a .920 OPS.
Naylor already surpassed his career-best output in homers, and has 21 as of Monday afternoon.
Clase was a lock to be selected for the bullpen since he has posted a 0.85 ERA in 42.1 frames.
These five players have been carrying the Guards all season long and are very much responsible for the incredible record so far.
