Cleveland Guardians middle infielder Welbyn Francisca is a highly rated prospect.
In fact, MLB Pipeline has him as the ninth best prospect on his team.
He is just 18 years old and starting his journey as a professional baseball player, yet he is showing a shocking eagerness to help others with less opportunities.
“Incredibly humbling video of Cleveland #Guardians 18yr old switch-hitting (SS) prospect Welbyn Francisca delivering meals to families for Christmas back home in the Dominican Republic. “I thank God for allowing me to give even a little happiness to people, I wish you all a merry Christmas and may God bless you eternally,” Guardians Prospective posted on X.

You know how much he cares about his people and his surroundings just by reading the words he uses.
Many minor leaguers aren’t yet established financially, especially those in the low minors, but Francisca prefers to project a message of sharing and caring anyway.
He is not only an A+ person at his short age, but he is also a future star on the diamond.
The diminutive infielder spent his time in 2024 between the Complex League (rookie level) and Single-A Lynchburg.
In the former, he hit .328 with a 139 wRC+ and six homers in 45 games, adding 11 stolen bases.
Then, in Lynchburg, he hit .325 with a 141 wRC+ in 29 games, with a homer and eight thefts.
He is at least a couple of years away from making an impact in MLB, but he looks well on his way.
For now, he is definitely making a positive impact in the lives of others, which is even better.
