The Cleveland Guardians enjoyed a successful 2024 season where they made a postseason run to the American League Championship Series before falling to the New York Yankees.
With a final record of 92 wins and 69 losses, the Guardians won the American League Central for the second time in the last three seasons.
The young Guardians’ roster is led by their 12-year veteran third basemen Jose Ramirez who has played all 12 seasons for the club.
Ramirez is the heart and soul of this Guardians team, and he will be their nominee for a prestigious award.
According to Cleveland Guardians on ‘X,’ Ramirez will be the Guardians nominee for the Heart and Hustle Award.
No surprise here.

The Heart and Hustle Award was created in 2005 and is presented to a player annually who demonstrates a passion for the game of baseball and embodies the values, spirit, and traditions of the game.
Ramirez had another consistent season on the field with the Guardians as he batted .279 with 39 home runs, 118 RBIs, and a .872 OPS.
The Guardians have plenty of young talent on their roster, but Ramirez gives them a reliable veteran presence in the clubhouse that the young players can look up to and learn from.
Ramirez is one of the under-the-radar superstars in Major League Baseball, and one of the most important players on this Guardians squad.
The Guardians will attempt to win a second straight AL Central title in 2025 in a division that was responsible for three postseason teams in 2024.
