The Cleveland Guardians’ farm system is the gift that keeps on giving.
As such, they need to make sure to keep adding talent to its ranks.
With that in mind, it’s not a surprise to see them linked to high-end catcher prospect Yorwuin Toledo.
According to Guardians Prospective, Cleveland is the favorite to sign Toledo, who is a native of Venezuela and is training at RTM Academy.
He is eligible to sign in January 2026.

The Guardians could use some help at catcher.
Bo Naylor closed the season on a high note, but he had some struggles early on.
Yet, he should continue to be the starter until proven otherwise.
The Guardians also chose to bring back veteran Austin Hedges, who signed his third consecutive one-year contract.
He’ll make $4 million, but that number can go up to $4.5 million, based on incentives.
Hedges has never been known for his prowess at the plate, although he’s an elite defender and game-caller.
Of course, it will be a long time before Toledo makes his way to the majors, if ever.
He may not even suit up for the Guardians.
But it’s nice to see that the team continues to strengthen its system, and there’s no such thing as having too much young talent.
