The Cleveland Guardians might be all set for the future at catcher.
As shown by Guardians Prospective on X, prospect Cooper Ingle recently had a huge game in Double-A.
He tied his career-high with four hits and drove in four runs to help Akron defeat Chesapeake.
He had two doubles, giving him a new season high in extra-base hits (28 doubles, nine home runs).

It was his second four-hit game of the season.
The Guardians selected Ingle out of Clemson in the fourth round of the 2023 MLB Draft.
The No. 125 overall pick is now the team’s No. 8 overall prospect and No. 1 catcher prospect.
While he still has plenty of hurdles to clear, he might be more polished than current Guardians catcher Bo Naylor in every aspect of the game.
As a former shortstop, Ingle is swift, agile and fast on his legs.
He has also shown an impressive knack for contact and drawing walks, two aspects most catchers aren’t necessarily known for.
Judging by the way he’s performed this season, he should be considered a lock to be promoted to Triple-A next season.
Though he still has a long way to go, he might be the answer to the team’s search for a catcher if Naylor continues to struggle.
