The Cleveland Guardians have been up and down this season.
To say that they haven’t had the season they hoped for would be a big understatement, but that doesn’t mean it has all been negative.
If anything, they’ve seemingly found some interesting pieces for the future.
That’s why Bruce Drennan is taking a ‘glass half-full’ approach to what he’s seeing from the organization.
In the latest edition of his show, the renowned pundit gushed about the starting rotation and their outlook for the future:
“I truly believe that the Guardians can come back next year and win the Central Division. It’s exciting, especially for me, to see these young pitchers. Messick, Williams, Bibee, Cecconi, and others. However, it’s vital to improve the run production,” Drennan said.
Next year is the #Guardians year. #GuardsBall

Tanner Bibee hasn’t been as sharp as expected this season, but he’s already shown that he can be special when he’s at his best, and he still has the potential to be an ace.
Slade Cecconi has been one of the bright spots, even though he hasn’t been given the type of opportunity to establish himself as a starter.
As for Gavin Williams, he needs to be more consistent in the sense that he can either have a quality start or be rocked early in the game, but the potential is definitely there.
Parker Messick, on the other hand, has looked like a superstar in the making, but he’s just getting started, so people shouldn’t get too carried away with him after just a couple of starts.
There’s also Khal Stephen, who might not be ready to take the field early in the season but could be a solid reinforcement in the second half of the campaign.
Whatever the case, this rotation is promising.
