With the opening of the new international signing period on Wednesday and many specialists and publications starting to reveal their lists of top young players, prospect season is officially starting in MLB.
Baseball Prospectus, among the most recognized and reputable analysts in the industry, recently published their list of the top 101 prospects in the game.
The piece is behind a paywall but is very much worth the read.
They have the Cleveland Guardians with four prospects among the best 101.
“Cleveland #Guardians come in with four players in @baseballpro top 100 prospects for the 2025 season. 12. Travis Bazzana (2B), 62. Chase DeLauter (OF), 78. Angel Genao (SS), 83. Jaison Chourio (CF),” Guardians Prospective posted on X.

The Guardians system is strong on position players, and it shows if you go through the list name by name.
The best-ranked Guardians prospect is, without a doubt, second baseman Travis Bazzana.
The No. 1 draft pick posted a 126 wRC+ in his first taste of professional baseball in High-A, with the Lake County Captains last year.
He is the Guardians second baseman of the future now that Andrés Giménez has been traded.
He is not quite ready for the bigs, though.
Genao and Chourio have more or less the same timeline as Bazzana.
They both project as starters thanks to their solid on-base skills and other traits.
DeLauter, on the other hand, is very close to major-league ready.
Many specialists would argue that he is ready now.
He projects as a starting right fielder with a batting average close to .300, 20+ home runs, and solid on-base numbers.
The Guardians are already excellent.
The future, somehow, is even brighter.
