The Cleveland Guardians have been hot again recently and just reeled off nine wins in a row before finally losing last night to the Colorado Rockies, 8-6.
The offense has been on a roll despite missing one of its most important pieces, and luckily, his return appears to be just around the corner.
Cleveland’s Triple-A affiliate, the Columbus Clippers, announced on Twitter that outfielder Steven Kwan is scheduled to make his first rehab appearance with the club tonight in their game against the Lehigh Valley IronPigs.

Kwan hasn’t played since May 4 due to a hamstring injury and was hitting a scalding .353 at the time of his injury and he will reportedly start today’s game in left field and play between 6-8 innings to kick off his stint in Triple-A.
Kwan played two games with High-A Lake County over the weekend and went 1-for-5 with a three-run home run and a walk.
As for a return to the majors, it is being suggested that Kwan could stay with Columbus through Cleveland’s road trip, so he could be back atop the Guardians lineup by Friday.
The team has patched things together in his absence, but with how hot Jose Ramirez has been lately and how efficiently he has been driving in runs, putting the leadoff man with his .407 OBP back in front of him is a huge boost to the lineup.
David Fry has seen more at-bats in Kwan’s absence and has been crushing the ball to the tune of a 1.079 OPS, so the team will likely have to find a way to keep him in the lineup even with Kwan back.
