The Cleveland Guardians need their best players to lead the way the rest of the season.
That obviously includes Steven Kwan.
The All-Star outfielder hadn’t been his usual self at the plate since the break.
That’s why it’s refreshing to see that he’s finally getting back on track.
As pointed out by analyst Gabriella Kreuz on X, Kwan has been on a roll over the past week.
During that span, he’s batting .333 with eight hits, two runs and three RBIs, including a walk-off sacrifice fly.

He also made a potential game-saving diving catch.
Kwan has emerged as a fan favorite and one of the most productive outfielders in the game, so it always seemed like it was just a matter of time before he went through some positive regression to the mean.
Of course, his contract situation with the organization led to speculation that he was attempting to force his way out or applying pressure to get the big-money deal he’s looking for.
Whether that’s the case or not, only Kwan knows, but he’s too much of a competitor not to give his all every time he’s on the field.
The Guardians will close the season with crucial games against direct rivals for an AL Wild Card, and having Kwan playing at his usual level will be crucial to their success.
