Brayan Rocchio’s season took a harsh turn in May when the Cleveland Guardians demoted him after a brutal start at the plate.
The shortstop was sent down with his future as an everyday player looking dim.
However, since returning in July, Rocchio has transformed into a completely different hitter.
His turnaround has been nothing short of remarkable.
Recent stats shared by the team on X show just how far he has come since his recall.
Rocchio has collected 52 hits, 13 doubles, and 32 RBIs while posting a .269 batting average.

The early-season numbers told a different story.
Rocchio entered 2024 hitting just .165 with a .235 on-base percentage and a .198 slugging mark.
Defensive struggles made things worse.
The Guardians moved Gabriel Arias to shortstop, where his arm strength and steady glove work earned him the everyday job.
Rocchio found himself without a clear role.
Instead of letting the demotion break him, Rocchio used it as fuel.
He went back to Triple-A determined to fix his approach.
The work paid off when Arias suffered an injury on July 1.
But when Cleveland recalled Rocchio, they had a different plan in mind.
The Guardians moved him to second base, a position he had never played in the majors, but Rocchio adapted quickly.
His defense at the new spot has been solid while his bat has come alive in ways few expected.
This represents a complete reversal for a player who looked overmatched just months ago. Rocchio is not just getting hits now.
He is driving in runs with authority and delivering in clutch situations.
The consistency he has shown since July has caught everyone by surprise.
For a player whose major league future seemed uncertain in May, Rocchio has proven that sometimes a step back can lead to a giant leap forward.
