The Cleveland Guardians have always known what type of superstar they have in Jose Ramirez.
His ability to cover the entire strike zone and pull balls is among the best in the game.
That’s why he’s pretty much immune to the shift ban, and why he cannot be stopped regardless of the handedness of the pitcher.
Moreover, that’s also why it’s not a surprise to see that he ranks among the leaders in pull percentage since the beginning of the 2021 season.
Among MLB players with at least 1,000 at-bats, Ramirez is second with a 50.1 percent pull rate.
He trails Isaac Paredes of the Houston Astros (52.2 percent).
More impressively, of the 155 home runs Ramirez has hit during that span, 140 have been to the pull side.

Ramirez is one of the most versatile and complete players in the game, and the Guardians will always have a chance to compete at a high level when he’s on the field.
The third baseman is leading the team in multiple offensive categories this season, and he is closer to becoming the franchise leader in RBIs.
Once he’s finally ready to call it a career, there’s a strong chance that he’ll rank either No. 1 or No. 2 in multiple stats.
Fortunately for the Guardians, he’s shown no signs of slowing down or a desire to retire, and he will continue to produce for years to come.
