The Cleveland Guardians have two legitimate stars and some very good players.
Ironically, their two stars haven’t played up to their usual standards during the team’s hottest stretch of the season.
“Cleveland Guardians just went (5-1) on the road despite All-Stars Steven Kwan and Jose Ramirez hitting a combined .154 with just one run driven in,” Guardians Prospective wrote on X.

It’s unusual to see Ramirez and Kwan combine for just one RBI over a six-game span, and then to see the Guardians win five of those games when they’re not at their best.
While some may be worried about that, it might be a positive sign.
Watching everybody else step up and do their job to help this team get back in the playoff race is encouraging.
If this team has been this good without its All-Stars playing to their usual level, one can only wonder what it can do once they get out of this slump.
Both of them are just too good to keep struggling much longer, so it’s just a matter of time before they go through some positive regression and get hot again.
Even the best players go through slumps at times.
It’s up to everybody else to prove that this team is more than just its two best players.
