Baseball is kind enough to trigger every one of our five senses.
The smell of freshly cut grass, the taste of ballpark food, feeling the stitches of a ball or how a glove fits in one’s hand, and the sight of the game we love.
Those things are hard to beat.
Cleveland Guardians fans probably experienced all those sensations on Thursday night, plus another one: the sound of the bat making hard contact with the ball and the crowd erupting, celebrating a game-winning home run.
Yahoo Sports posted a cool video of Progressive Field going crazy after David Fry gave them a 7-5 walk-off win with a tenth inning home run.
We beg you to turn the volume up.
“CLEVELAND WENT CRAZY AFTER DAVID FRY’S WALK-OFF,” they wrote with the video, and it was precisely what happened.

If you listen closely, you can hear the ballpark’s natural sounds with people chatting normally; then you will hear Fry’s drive and people reacting to it.
A few seconds later, when they see it leave the park, a state of frenzy sets in.
Those who have a creative mind and weren’t there can almost picture the moment in their minds.
That home run, plus the Jhonkensy Noel one in the ninth inning to tie the game, will go down as the two most important ones in the last eight years, at the very least.
The Guards are now down 2-1, and they were a strike away from being 0-3.
Can they pull off the miracle?
Game 4 is on Thursday, and you won’t want to miss it.
