The Cleveland Guardians kept hope alive on Thursday with a thrilling back-and-forth 7-5 victory over the New York Yankees in Game 3 of the ALCS to move the series to 2-1 and give the team hope that it can pull off a comeback.
One of Cleveland’s biggest fans is Kansas City Chiefs superstar tight end Travis Kelce, who was in attendance in New York for Game 1 and shared his excitement after the incredible Game 3 win.
Kelce took to X after the win on Thursday and said “Playoff baseball baby!!! The Guardians have the city absolutely ROCKIN TONIGHT!! What a game!”

Cleveland got off to an early 2-1 lead thanks to a huge home run by designated hitter Kyle Manzardo, which held up until star closer Emmanuel Clase came on in the eighth inning and served up back-to-back home runs to Aaron Judge and Giancarlo Stanton to give the Yankees a 4-3 lead.
New York extended the lead to 5-3, but with two outs in the bottom of the ninth, Jhonkensy Noel absolutely smoked a 2-run homer to tie the game and send it to extras where David Fry followed suit and launched a walk-off 2-run shot off of Clay Holmes.
If Kelce wasn’t busy with work, surely he’d be in attendance for more of these games alongside Taylor Swift, but he’ll have to settle for enjoying all the madness from the couch like the rest of us.
Cleveland has a chance to tie up the series on Friday when Gavin Williams takes the mound against Luis Gil in Game 4.
