The Cleveland Guardians have a strong farm system, even with some recent graduations.
They have top-end guys like second baseman Travis Bazzana and Chase DeLauter, underrated hitters like Ralphy Velazquez, and talented speeders and on-base stars.
They do lack a bona fide, can’t-miss starting pitching prospect, but the system is in really good shape in the position players department.
MLB Pipeline released the Guardians’ top 30 prospects list, and the same three names that were at the top in 2025 are still there this year: Bazzana, DeLauter, and Angel Genao.
Guardians Prospective shared the entire list on his X account.
Cleveland #Guardians 2026 @MLBPipeline pre-season top 30 prospects list.
1. Travis Bazzana (2B)
2. Chase DeLauter (OF)
3. Angel Genao (SS)
4. Ralphy Velazquez (1B)
5. Parker Messick (LHP)
6. Cooper Ingle (C)
7. Khal Stephen (RHP)
8. Braylon Doughty (RHP)
9. Jace LaViolette (OF)…— Guardians Prospective (@CleGuardPro) March 3, 2026
Both Bazzana and DeLauter are expected to be contributors this year, and the latter even has a chance at breaking camp with the team.
The same could be said about Bazzana, but he is likely to start in Triple-A unless he really forces the issue.
Velazquez was ninth in the 2025 MLB Pipeline list but is now fourth, a deserved bump in the rankings after an excellent 2025 in which he hit 22 homers with a 136 wRC+ between two minor league levels.
Left-hander Parker Messick also makes a huge jump in this year’s list after checking in at 11th last season.
He is now fifth, and is officially the best pitching prospect in the organization ahead of Khal Stephen.
Jaison Chourio fell from the fifth spot to the 12th, and Cooper Ingle went from fourth to sixth.
Infielder Juan Brito was also among those who fell, going from 14th to 17th.
Daniel Espino, out for almost the entire 2025 campaign, was 29th last year, but this time, he is being placed in the 18th position.
He is one of the Guardians’ secret weapons this year if he can stay healthy, a status he has finally reached after years of surgeries and rehab.
Cleveland’s farm system is so good and underrated that a guy ranked 29th in this year’s list, George Valera, currently projects as a starter in left field and a key cog of the lineup.
Good times are coming to Cleveland for those willing to be patient.
