We all love fun, hypothetical scenarios, especially if they involve baseball.
Fans like to compare two (or more) players directly, analyzing stats, past performance, and other relevant elements.
In this case, it was the league’s official Twitter account as the one who presented fans with a fascinating scenario.
“The game is on the line. Who are you bringing in?”, they wrote, and proceeded to include a graphic with the two closing sensations of the moment: Cleveland Guardians right-hander Emmanuel Clase and Oakland Athletics bullpen ace Mason Miller.
The game is on the line.
Who are you bringing in? 👀

The graphic has both men’s numbers, and they are truly otherworldly.
Clase is up to 12 saves with a 0.42 ERA and a 0.66 WHIP.
He has conceded just a single earned run in 21.1 innings, with two walks and 22 strikeouts.
It’s hard to beat that, but Miller sure is giving it a go.
The A’s flamethrower boasts a 0.98 ERA and a 0.65 WHIP in 18.1 frames, with five walks and an incredible 38 strikeouts.
It’s obvious that Miller has the most bat-missing upside and even the best velocity of the two, which is actually amazing since Clase is used to throwing nasty 98-100 mph cutters.
However, Clase has much more experience at the highest level (even playoffs) and is still very young at 26 years old.
He is the more accomplished of the two and already has 123 career saves.
You really can’t go wrong with either of the two, but Guardians fans in the replies sure picked the guy they have been cheering on for several years now.
He is someone you really want in a tight, high-stakes game.
