Josh Naylor strikes again.
With Wednesday’s game tied at six in the top of the ninth at Fenway Park, Naylor went yard, blasting one over the Green Monster to put the Cleveland Guardians on top.
The Boston Red Sox couldn’t muster anything off of All-Star closer Emmanuel Clase, who pitched a 1-2-3 bottom of the ninth to secure the win for the Guardians, who will go for the series victory today.
Cleveland came to within a game-and-a-half of the Minnesota Twins in the AL Central with their win and sent the Red Sox below .500 for the first time since May.
Naylor was again the hero for Cleveland, and MLB tweeted a video of Naylor coming up clutch in the ninth last night.

Naylor Comes Up Clutch Again
The home run was Naylor’s 14th of the season.
In addition to that, he’s hitting .279 with 53 RBI and an .836 OPS.
Naylor is quickly turning himself into one of the most underrated stars in all of baseball.
He put a great swing on Tanner Houck‘s 2-0 fastball and sent it deep into the night, stunning the Fenway faithful in disbelief.
He’s had several big moments this year for the Guardians.
First, he had a game-tying grand slam against the Chicago White Sox back in April.
Then in June, he hit a walk-off home run against the Minnesota Twins.
Last night, he came up clutch in Boston and delivered the biggest hit of the night.
Naylor came over to Cleveland from the San Diego Padres in the Mike Clevinger deal in 2020 and has proven to be a savvy pickup.
He carried the Guardians once again last night and put together yet another solid night at the plate.
