José Ramírez has cemented his status as the Cleveland Guardians’ franchise cornerstone, delivering another exceptional season at age 33.
The third baseman continues powering Cleveland’s offense with remarkable consistency, slashing .284/.361/.508 through September 26 with 30 home runs and 40 stolen bases.
Ramírez leads the team in nearly every major offensive category while ranking among American League leaders in extra-base hits and total bases.
His 85 RBIs, 34 doubles, and .869 OPS highlight the complete offensive package that has defined his Cleveland tenure.
The veteran recently surpassed Hall of Famer Earl Averill to become Cleveland’s all-time leader in extra-base hits with 726.

This milestone represents just the latest achievement in a season filled with franchise records for Ramírez.
His historic campaign includes passing Omar Vizquel for second in stolen bases and overtaking Jim Thome for second in RBI since 1920.
Ramírez also joined Averill as one of only two Cleveland players with 3,000 career total bases while becoming the first Guardians player to record three 30-30 seasons.
With 285 career homers, Ramírez is steadily approaching Thome’s club record of 337.
At his current pace, he could surpass that mark before his contract expires in 2028, further solidifying his place in franchise history.
Beyond the statistics, Ramírez’s durability has proven invaluable during Cleveland’s playoff push.
His rare combination of power and speed makes him the first third baseman with 250 home runs and 250 stolen bases.
The Guardians will lean heavily on Ramírez’s production and leadership as they continue their postseason pursuit this October.
