To say that the Cleveland Guardians have been through a lot this season would be a massive understatement.
However, they’re still in pursuit of a playoff berth.
They’re playing their best when it matters most, especially when it comes to the pitching staff.
As shown by Zack Meisel of The Athletic, Guardians pitchers have been dominant while winning 11 of the past 12 games.
During that span, they’ve shut out their opponent three times, have given up one run three times, two runs four times, and four and five runs just once.
This is getting quite interesting, in fact.
The Guardians have won 11 of 12. In those games, they have allowed the following run totals:
1, 2, 1, 2, 0, 4, 2, 0, 1, 2, 5, 0
They are 80-71 and tomorrow's game seems awfully important. https://t.co/cZi8H9rcUp

The Guardians are never going to win with offense. That’s just not the way they’re built.
That’s why getting the job done on the mound is so crucial.
They’ve taken two games from the Detroit Tigers and will look to complete the sweep with Tanner Bibee on the mound.
He hasn’t been their most consistent pitcher this season, but he’s still someone worth trusting in a high-stakes situation.
He’s shown that he can be dominant when he’s at his best, and his team needs him to be that guy for the remainder of the campaign.
Of course, expecting the Guardians to win every game until the end of the season isn’t realistic.
But everybody else in the AL playoff race will also lose a game or two here and there, and the door is open for the Guardians to finish an epic comeback and make it to the postseason.
