To be a successful major leaguer, a player needs more than just raw talent.
These days, the commitment to succeed implies fewer off days and more work overall.
Players are starting their off-season workouts sooner every year, in order to get that competitive edge against their peers.
This is the case of Cleveland Guardians reliever Tim Herrin.
One of the most underrated members of the Guardians vaunted bullpen, Herrin has already started stretching and preparing for the 2025 campaign.
“Timmy Herrin back in to get his work this off-season! After a career year and ALCS run with @CleGuardians, it’s awesome to have him back in working with our other minor league arms and staff,” PRP Baseball posted on X.

Yes, it’s early November, but that’s the price to be a baseball star.
There is more to the MLB experience than it meets the eye when it comes to actually preparing for a long, grueling season, and Herrin is proof.
The left-hander became a major piece of the bullpen and helped the Guardians navigate the loss of fellow left-handed bullpen piece Sam Hentges in 2024.
In 75 games and 65.1 innings of work, the southpaw returned a 1.92 ERA.
He struck out 68 batters and posted a solid 0.97 WHIP, shocking the world with his effectiveness out of Cleveland’s bullpen.
He is now a key cog on the unit, and he is doing his best to report to spring training in top shape to help the team reach the World Series.
