The Cleveland Guardians Twitter account is pure fun.
It’s constantly delivering hilarious messages and pictures, and fans love it.
It also interacts with supporters and fans: it’s fair to say that the community managers are earning their money fair and square.
On Thursday, on Opening Day, the Guards tweeted a picture of Jose Ramirez in the driver’s seat with the message “The Journey Begins”, in reference of Cleveland’s game against the Oakland Athletics that will officially kick off their season.
The caption, however, represents the funny part: “The road to 162-0 starts on the West Coast”, they wrote.

Obviously no team has won or will win the entire 162 games of the calendar, but the Guardians have faith and who are we to tell them about the impossible?
All kidding aside, Cleveland is trying to leave behind a forgettable 2023 campaign that yielded a losing record.
Fans would rather see a repeat of the 2022 season, a group that won 92 games and took a playoff series from the Tampa Bay Rays.
With a deep rotation, a good bullpen, and some high-upside players on offense, the Guardians have dared to dream and they have every right of doing so.
They didn’t really do much in the offseason, but neither did the Minnesota Twins so the AL Central is definitely in play.
The Guardians might not be favorites, but they don’t need to be: all they need is to sneak into the postseason.
There, with Shane Bieber, Triston McKenzie, and impressive 2023 rookies Tanner Bibee, Logan Allen, and Gavin Williams (when he returns from injury) plus a deep bullpen and an underrated lineup, they could embark on an improbable run.
