The Cleveland Guardians were back on track and looking like the best team in baseball.
Then, they hit another wall.
Dropping three games to the struggling Atlanta Braves is far from ideal, and doing so at this point in the season is even worse.
Nevertheless, Brady Hamilton isn’t ready to throw in the towel.
As he pointed out on X, the Guardians are alive in the AL Wild Card race, and they could rally to win the AL Central.
The Guardians are only 3.5 games out of the WC.
8.5 games out of 1st with 6 games left against Detroit themselves.
A 2-4 home stand against the Marlins and Braves isn’t ideal, but it’s far from being the nail in the coffin.
Playoffs can still happen. #GuardsBall

The Guardians will continue to have one of the easiest schedules for the remainder of the season.
However, their next six-game stretch will be crucial, as they will be on the road to play the Arizona Diamondbacks before a tough matchup against the Texas Rangers.
The team has shown what it’s capable of when they’re at their best, but they can go ice cold as well.
Hopefully, that won’t be the case, and they will have a short memory.
The Guardians hold an AL-best 23-11 record since July 7, so there are more than enough reasons to feel optimistic.
They’ve been impressively resilient and have refused to stop competing even when the season seemed lost.
This was their first series loss in the past six, and with six games remaining against the Detroit Tigers, don’t be shocked if the Guardians earn a playoff spot.
