The Cleveland Guardians’ offense has been disappointing for the majority of this season, though it has picked up a bit in recent weeks thanks to a softer spot in the team’s schedule and the return to form of a few veterans who have added some much-needed length to the lineup.
Part of the frustration amongst fans has been due to the fact that this team has a number of impressive bats developing in the minors, one of whom recently notched an impressive feat in Double-A on Friday.
Guardians Prospective shared a clip on X of 21-year-old outfielder Alfonsin Rosario launching a 418-foot two-run homer on Friday, which was his first home run at Double-A after hitting 16 in High-A earlier this season.

Cleveland’s outfield has been abysmal at the plate this season outside of Steven Kwan, which is why C.J Kayfus was recently called up to make his debut and take some at-bats from right field.
Nolan Jones, David Fry, and Jhonkensy Noel have been massive disappointments this season, while Angel Martinez has been solid on defense but subpar at the plate.
This team needs more thump in the worst way, and Kayfus has thankfully provided some since being called up, while other top prospects such as Chase DeLauter and Travis Bazzana aren’t too far away from providing reinforcements.
Rosario just reached Double-A and still has a ways to go in his development, but he is having a strong season and should keep climbing the ranks in the minors if he keeps hitting the way he has been throughout 2025.
