The Cleveland Guardians have been tied to Progressive, a famous insurance company, for well over a decade now.
The company, headquartered in Ohio, put pen to paper on a 16-year contract for the naming rights of the stadium, which was named Jacobs Field until January 2008.
Progressive also acquired sponsorship rights to become the official insurance provider of the team.
The marriage between the Guardians and Progressive will apparently last even longer, according to WKYC sports anchor and reporter Nick Camino.
“Some news: Progressive will remain the official insurance provider of the #Guardians and continue naming rights of Progressive Field through the 2036 season,” he tweeted.

“If it ain’t broke, don’t fix it,” says the old adage.
In this case, it applies to perfection.
Both parties seem happy to be working with each other, so the Guardians stadium will retain its current name until at least the 2036 season.
The financial terms behind the new agreement weren’t disclosed.
Everybody seems to be working together in harmony to bring one of the longest droughts in professional sports to an end.
The Guardians haven’t won the World Series since 1948, and even though they have been awfully close on a couple of occasions since then, it just hasn’t happened.
Progressive intends to be one of the agents behind that hypothetical historic moment.
Don’t look now, but between their current, existing MLB talent and some really solid prospects on the way, the Guardians could potentially make some noise in October within the next couple of seasons.
First things first, though: the renewed agreement with Progressive gives the team a sense of stability, which is always underrated.
