The Cleveland Guardians could be sellers given their current 46-49 record.
Analysts, media members, and fans have thrown some logical names around, such as Lane Thomas and Carlos Santana, if the team decides to sell.
Others are unlikely to be moved, but not entirely impossible: Emmanuel Clase and Steven Kwan fall in this category.
However, throughout the summer, some people have speculated about the possibility of team star Jose Ramirez being flipped in a blockbuster trade.
The trade season in MLB often brings crazy rumors with it, and this is a prime example.
There is absolutely no chance of Cleveland trading Ramirez, and Guardians legend Carlos Baerga explained why during his show on Wednesday.
“Jose Ramirez LOVES competing for the city of Cleveland. “Jose is a gamer, Jose wants to win, and he tells me he wants to win and stay here!” Baerga said.

There you have it: Ramirez not only loves Cleveland, but he believes he can win with the Guardians.
He is betting on himself, his teammates, his manager, and the front office.
It’s not a crazy thought: the Guards finished among the best four teams in the league last year.
Even with their struggles this season, they could still theoretically turn things around and compete because they are just 4.5 games out of a postseason spot.
Ramirez has said time and again that he believes in the Guardians’ project and is here to stay.
Everything else is pure speculation.
Baerga is right: J-Ram wants nothing more than to win in a Guardians’ uniform.
He came awfully close in 2016 when they lost the World Series, and in 2024 after making it to the American League Championship Series.
He will likely have another shot, either in 2025 or later down the road.
