Everything finally seems to be going well for the Cleveland Guardians.
Stephen Vogt’s team is catching fire when it matters the most, and some of the unsung heroes might deserve more credit.
With that in mind, Sleeper Guardians took to X to point out how impressive Kyle Manzardo has been lately, making a case for him to potentially be an every-day starter.
Over the past three games, the power-hitting first baseman has gone 4-for-9 for a .444 batting average, adding a 1.343 OPS, five RBIs, two extra-base hits, and one home run.

Of course, we’re talking about a small sample size here, but Manzardo has already shown glimpses multiple times this season.
The Guardians don’t have anything to lose at this point in the season.
And if the front office chooses not to make moves and add more firepower to the lineup, perhaps Vogt will have to shake things up and ride the hot hand for the rest of the way.
The Guardians have one of the easiest schedules to close out the season, and while their recent opponents aren’t necessarily high-end competition, they’re doing the right thing by kicking them when they’re down.
That has also helped them boost their confidence and get into an offensive rhythm.
That type of morale boost is crucial when a team is looking to make a run down the stretch.
And if Manzardo continues to hit the ball at this rate, it would be very difficult for Stephen Vogt to keep him off the field.
