2022 has come to a close and now it is time to shift our focus to 2023 and what lies ahead.
One of several interesting success stories from the previous year was the emergence of the Cleveland Guardians as a legitimate postseason contender.
Led by stars such as Jose Ramirez, Andres Gimenez, Triston McKenzie, Shane Bieber, and Emmanuel Clase, the Guardians enjoyed a hefty amount of success in their first year under the new name, capturing the AL Central division title and reaching the ALDS, where they ultimately fell short against the 99-win New York Yankees.
But Guardians fans are ready for the new season, and with pitchers and catchers reporting in a month, one fan made a bold prediction.
Welcome to the year that the Cleveland Guardians win the World Series

The Guardians last reached the World Series in 2016, when they were still the Cleveland Indians.
That year, the team staked out a 3-1 series lead over the Chicago Cubs, only to have it evaporate as the Cubs came storming back to capture their curse-breaking title.
Cleveland has reached the postseason four times since then.
Last season, after clinching the AL Central title, the team made quick work of the Tampa Bay Rays in the American League Wild Card Series, with rookie Oscar Gonzalez finishing things off with his walk-off home run.
With teams such as the Yankees and the defending champion Houston Astros still a threat, the road to the World Series will be no easy path for the Guardians.
But fans in Cleveland have been waiting for a World Series title since 1948, and there’s no time like the present to get it done.
