The Cleveland Guardians’ offense has potential, but can be wildly inconsistent.
They have several hitters in their lineup currently struggling to post even league-average numbers.
Thankfully, they also have some really exciting prospects, especially in Triple-A.
Kyle Manzardo is one of them, and fans were calling for his presence in Cleveland due to his fantastic season in Triple-A.
Yes, the slugging first baseman already had a chance earlier in the season and struggled with a .571 OPS in 87 plate appearances, but he looks more mature and ready for another go at MLB pitching.
Rosters will expand from 26 to 28 players starting on Sunday, and the Guardians will have a chance to bring up two players.
According to a report by Francys Romero, Manzardo will be one of them.
“Kyle Manzardo will be one of two players the Cleveland Guardians will add this Sunday when rosters expand, per sources. Expected move,” he posted on X.

Manzardo has been deserving of a call-up for quite some time now.
He has turned a corner when it comes to hitting lefties and is no longer a liability against them.
The talented prospect has a cool .267/.398/.548 line in 364 plate appearances for the Columbus Clippers, with a brilliant 142 wRC+.
That means he has been 42 percent better than the league-average hitter at his level.
If Manzardo plays up to his vast potential, he could represent a middle-of-the-order asset who can help protect Josh Naylor in the lineup and make it deeper and better.
This move could be an underrated game-changer for Cleveland as they look to hold off the competition in the AL Central.
