By now, the whole league knows it and accepts it as an unequivocal reality: the Cleveland Guardians have the best and deepest bullpen in baseball.
Any unit led by Emmanuel Clase will have a good chance to be among the greatest in the game.
Sometimes, however, we all need to take a look at the numbers because they prove things.
In this case, the stats certify the fact that not only Cleveland has the best relief corps in MLB, but also that their 2024 performance has been historically great.

The league currently has 30 teams, and the numbers has been relatively close to that throughout history.
In more than 100 years of baseball (113 to be exact if we count since 1911 as the post states), only four bullpens have had a better ERA than the 2024 Guardians.

It’s not just Clase, though, even if he is having a historic season himself with a 0.63 ERA.
The Guards have enjoyed breakout campaigns from two trusted setup men: Hunter Gaddis (1.53 ERA) and Cade Smith (1.96 ERA, 100 strikeouts).
In addition to that, left-hander Tim Herrin has been a magnificent addition this year and fellow southpaw Erik Sabrowski has been filling in nicely for the injured Sam Hentges.
Other arms have also been excellent, such as Pedro Avila, Nick Sandlin, Eli Morgan and Andrew Walters.
The Guards also have James Karinchak getting himself ready in the minors after a long rehab and Triston McKenzie thriving as a reliever.
They have the names, and they have the men.
This bullpen will be the talk of the postseason.
