The Cleveland Guardians know that they need to be almost perfect from now until the end of the season.
That has been the case at the mound over their last 10 outings.
As pointed out by Guardians Prospective on X, the Guardians’ pitching has been on a tear in their last 10 games:
“Cleveland #Guardians are (9-1) over their last 10 games only allowing a total of 15 runs. The pitching staff owns a 1.50 ERA over the 10 game span,” the post read.

That’s the type of strong effort it takes for a team to make a postseason push.
The Guardians have been a streaky team all season long, and there’s still plenty of hard work to do, so they can’t rest on their laurels just yet.
Then again, it’s been quite evident that their pitching is trending in the right direction and peaking when it matters most.
Manager Stephen Vogt chose to roll with a six-man starting pitcher rotation for a stretch in which they would have to play 24 games in as many days.
That has helped keep everybody fresh and in a rhythm, and the new additions to the rotation have certainly been up to the task.
Rising talents such as Joey Cantillo and Parker Messick have played like stars as of late.
Of course, the Guardians still need to take care of business at the plate, which has often been an issue with this team.
But even when they’re not raking or getting on base, they always seem to have a chance regardless of who’s on the mound.
They still have a long road to walk, and it would be a shame for these efforts to go to waste, but for now, this is encouraging.
