The Cleveland Guardians have lost six of their last eight games after dropping the series finale against the San Diego Padres on Sunday.
The offense, in particular, was horrible on Saturday and Sunday as Dylan Cease and Michael King looked like Greg Maddux and John Smoltz against Cleveland.
Still, two games don’t make a season, and the Guardians are clearly better than what they showed over the weekend.
All-Star designated hitter/utilityman David Fry discussed what the team has achieved to this point and believes they are still in “really good shape”.
“I still love where we’re at and think we’re going to be in really good shape.” David Fry isn’t worried about the recent struggles as he remains confident in himself and the team,” Bally Sports Cleveland tweeted with some of Fry’s remarks.

The Guards, despite losing this series at home, have to be considered one of the best squads in baseball when playing in front of their fans.
They will try to get back on track at home when they start a four-game series against the Detroit Tigers on Monday.
Fry, after reaching All-Star status, is one of the hitters with the most responsibility in turning things around.
He is, additionally, one of the veterans in a really young roster.
The breakout performer is hitting a cool .286/.395/.467, and Cleveland will need him to maintain some of the gains he has had this season in order to keep the lineup as competitive as possible.
He does have a point: Cleveland, despite the rough stretch, is still five games ahead in the AL Central race.
