Not so long ago, George Valera was projected to be one of the faces of the Cleveland Guardians.
Unfortunately, never-ending injury woes got in the way.
That was the case again recently.
But as reported by Guardians Prospective on X, the Guardians have activated the 24-year-old outfielder off the 7-day Injured List (IL).

Valera has been turning heads with his offense at Triple-A this season.
Hopefully, he will be able to stay healthy, and he might finally get an opportunity to showcase his skills in the show.
The fans have expressed major concerns about his condition, and some fear that Chase DeLauter may face a similar career path.
DeLauter is one of the most promising prospects in all of baseball, and he’s dominated his way through the majors from start to finish.
Then again, you can only do so much when you’re not on the field often.
Availability is the best of abilities, and his talents mean little when he’s not eligible to play.
DeLauter is currently on the sidelines again.
This time, he’s dealing with a wrist injury, and while his numbers were as solid as per usual, the fact that he had to be shut down again despite getting some additional time to heal during the All-Star Game is worrisome.
Valera can certainly relate to that type of story, and it would be a shame to watch DeLauter get stuck in the minors for another couple of years because he can’t shake off his never-ending injury woes.
