The Cleveland Guardians have one of the best players of this generation.
Jose Ramirez continues to make history almost every single time he takes the field, and people are running out of superlatives to describe what he’s meant to this organization.
That’s why, after securing yet another season with at least 20 home runs and stolen bases, Carlos Baerga went out of his way to tip his hat to his fellow Guardians legend.
In the latest edition of his show, he gushed about the Dominican third baseman:
“Jose Ramirez is a special player. He’s gonna be a Hall of Famer. He’s number 5 in Major League Baseball, seven times, 20-20—over 20 homers, over 20 stolen bases. He keeps putting up numbers,” Baerga said.
Jose Ramirez puts up 20-20 seasons like clockwork. #GuardsBall
"He's gonna be a HOF'er. He's #5 in MLB with seven 20-20 seasons. He keeps putting up numbers."

Ramirez isn’t like most superstars.
He’s not outspoken, and he lets his game do most of the talking.
Even so, it’s just impossible to overlook him and his numbers.
He’s established himself as the absolute best third baseman in the game, and if the Guardians are still pretty much in the race to make the playoffs, it’s mostly because of him.
Of course, it takes a whole village to lead a team to success, and it’s not like he’s also out there on the mound like Shohei Ohtani, but he might be more valuable to the Guardians than Ohtani is to the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The Guardians have yet to put a World Series-caliber team around him, yet he was still pretty close to taking them all the way last season.
Hopefully, he will have another opportunity to get to the final stage, and if he continues to turn back the clock and play like a youngster, that should be the case.
