To say that this was a rollercoaster of a season for Cleveland Guardians fans would be a massive understatement.
As such, it only made sense that it ended in the opposite way most people thought.
They made the playoffs when they had no business getting that far, and they lost when they had everything going on for them.
Regardless of how things fared, the team always had its strong and loyal fan base by its side.
That’s why team legend Omar Vizquel took to social media to thank the team and the fans for another big season:
“Thank You @CleGuardians lets come back stronger next season! The Best Fans! Gracias Equipo!” Vizquel posted on X.

Of course, it was disappointing to watch this team fight so hard in the final stretch of the season and make history by winning the division just to see their season come to an end three games later.
Still, unfortunately, that’s just the way things go in this line of business at times.
It’s not just about being consistent throughout the course of the regular season, but also about getting the job done when it looks much more difficult.
At the end of the day, this season wasn’t a complete waste.
The Guardians look like a team in a position to stay competitive for years to come, especially with the rookies they trusted down the stretch this season.
This team is well-coached, and they clearly believe in Stephen Vogt and in one another.
This wasn’t the way it was supposed to end, but there’s no such thing as ‘deserving’ in sports.
