The Cleveland Guardians entered this season with some major concerns on offense.
They looked like a good team with an elite bullpen, but there were some big question marks about their prowess at the plate.
It’s been months since the season started, and the team has done little to appease those concerns.
If anything, they’ve just gotten bigger.
That was evident again in a post shared by team analyst Daryl Ruiter on X.
Following the team’s 4-2 win over the Athletics, Ruiter pointed out that it was just the 10th time in the last 24 games that they’ve scored at least four runs:
“Guardians scored 4 runs last night for just the 10th time in their last 24 games. They have scored 3 or fewer runs 14x and are 9-15 over that stretch,” Ruiter posted on X.

The Guardians have gotten little to no production from all outfielders not named Steven Kwan.
They finally gave up on Jhonkensy Noel, but they haven’t gotten much from Lane Thomas or Nolan Jones.
This team has never been active or aggressive at the trade deadline, at least when it comes to adding more firepower to the roster.
Nevertheless, it would be such a shame to watch Jose Ramirez’s stellar season go to waste.
The superstar infielder is having one of the best campaigns of his career, and with Shane Bieber about to return at some point in the near future and some stellar prospects who might be ready to contribute down the stretch, perhaps the front office should consider breaking their mold and trying to get better at the trade deadline.
It’s become painfully evident that they may not have the personnel to be much better on offense right now.
