This past weekend, Cleveland Guardians fans renewed their faith.
Yes, some of them were, and are, thankful for every day and its blessings.
But most of them just asked for Jose Ramirez’s wrist to be OK.
A couple of fans jokingly offered to donate their wrists for the superstar, too.
As it turns out, it was just a scare.
Ramirez was removed from Saturday’s game after hurting his wrist and missed Sunday’s affair, too.
After passing every test and imaging showing no structural damage, Cleveland included J-Ram again in the lineup on Monday, in his customary third base and hitting second.

Ramirez will look for his first hit of the season as the Guards face the San Diego Padres on the road.
He remains Cleveland’s best player, so losing him for a significant amount of time would have been catastrophic.
The team is off to a 2-1 start and Ramirez isn’t even hot yet.
We are hoping that the wrist shows no lingering effects from injury because the team is counting on Ramirez to at least replicate last year’s numbers.
He posted a .872 OPS in 2024, with 39 home runs and 41 stolen bases.
Oh, he also scored 114 runs and accumulated 118 RBI, winning a Silver Slugger Award and being named a finalist for the Gold Glove at the hot corner.
Simply put, Ramirez is maybe the only player on the roster whose hypothetical absence over an extended period would likely represent an insurmountable problem for Cleveland, because he is virtually irreplaceable.
Thankfully for the Guardians and their fans, they don’t have to experience those fears again, not these days and with this injury at least.
