The Cleveland Guardians are known for their incredible ability to develop pitchers and get the best out of both young and veteran hurlers alike.
They are experts in the science of pitching and have proved it time and again.
Cleveland works with every pitcher’s main strengths in mind, and the results they have earned in recent seasons have been magnificent.
To their incredible core of pitchers, you can add three who are currently injured but are expected to play a big role in 2024: Andrew Walters, Erik Sabrowski, and John Means.
The Guardians have had a big influence in the growth and development of the first two, and will work closely with Means to exert their influence and help him return to the top when he is back to full health.
How close are they to returning to the mound?
Guardians Prospective, who closely follows the team every day, updated their status.
He reported Walters threw live batting practice on Wednesday, on the backfields of Goodyear.

Walters is definitely the closest to returning to action of the trio, with Sabrowski coming in at second without a firm timetable.
Means will be an option at some point in the second half.
The Guardians have enough depth to withstand being without all three, but are definitely a better team when they are among their options to pitch.
They will give them ample time to fully recover and ramp up.
