The Cleveland Guardians made a furious run at the World Series title last year, one that ended with a disappointing American League Championship Series defeat.
A true star was behind that incredible campaign: Jose Ramirez.
By now, many people are starting to open their eyes and truly understand just how good J-Ram is.
The feeling is that he is still underrated, though.
MLB players feel that way.
They chose him as the most underrated player in MLB.

Players know what they are talking about, because that’s a very accurate list.
All those players are better than the world thinks they are, or at least in comparison with the props and recognition they usually get.
Ramirez might not be the most ‘marketable’ star by the standards of some, but he has an entire city behind him and is a future Hall of Fame candidate.
He was this close to getting to the 40-40 club last year, hitting 39 homers and stealing 41 bases.
He did all this with a .872 OPS that ranked him among the best players in the league.
Without Ramirez, the Guardians would probably be fighting just to make the postseason.
He has elevated Cleveland’s floor with his excellent play every year.
Few stars are capable of approaching 40-40 status while being capable of coming close to a .900 OPS and surpassing 110 runs and RBI.
We can count them with one hand, and you can be sure Ramirez is one of them.
It’s a shame he is already aging and might be nearing the end of his prime.
That aging process, so far, has been chronological and nothing more than that: his game remains as good as ever.
You can even say he just had one of his finest years and is coming for more.
