Cleveland Guardians infielder Gabriel Arias is having a winter to remember with the bat.
Last year, it was Brayan Rocchio helping carry Tiburones de La Guaira to the title in the Venezuelan Winter League, posting incredible numbers.
This time, Arias is the one dominating the circuit with the bat.
His struggles on the field have been well-documented in the 2024-25 season of Liga Venezolana de Beisbol Profesional (LVBP), but there is no doubt that Arias has been the most impressive hitter on the circuit in his brief time there.

Logging 10 hits over seven games is definitely not easy.
Well Arias has 10 extra base hits alone over that span, including five doubles and five long balls.
His offensive transformation is amazing, and it actually started in Triple-A when he was demoted after a few mediocre months with the Guardians.
He had a 70 wRC+ in 53 games in the majors.
He was sent down and responded by posting a 130 wRC+ in 43 games at Columbus.
That’s how you want a young prospects to react to a demotion, with determination to win back his MLB spot on the field.
It didn’t happen for Arias in the second half but not because he didn’t deserve it.
In fact, he is still very much part of Cleveland’s plans and they hope he can extend his good form to the 2025 regular season.
