The Cleveland Guardians will always take pride in finding and developing some of the best young talents in the world. Once again, they will have no shortage of options to fill their roster next season.
That’s why everybody has to work around the clock to secure their spot on the roster. That includes even the most promising young players, such as Juan Brito.
As shown by Guardians Prospective on X, Juan Brito has been putting in the work in his native Dominican Republic. The video shows him taking live batting practice, and he looks in mid-season form already.

Brito will be in the mix to get an Opening Day roster spot in 2026 during spring training, and while he struggled with some injuries last season, he certainly has the physical tools to be a factor for Stephen Vogt’s team. He will join a very crowded group of middle infielders with Angel Martinez, Brayan Rocchio, Gabriel Arias, Daniel Schneemann, and maybe even former No. 1 pick Travis Bazzana, so it won’t be easy.
Brito slashed 256/.365/.443 with 21 home runs and 40 doubles at Triple-A Columbus back in 2024. He followed that up with a 256/.357/.463 slash line with a 21.2 percent strikeout rate and 13.1 walk rate in 99 plate appearances last season.
The Guardians have always preached patience when it comes to their young players, but they might finally be ready to give the former Colorado Rockies prospect a longer leash. He just needs to keep putting in the hard work to stand out from the rest of the pack.
