The Cleveland Guardians have a great eye for talent.
The organization is known for not spending big on veteran free agents or on contract extensions for their own players.
Instead, they focus on finding and developing players and then trading them once they get a little too expensive.
Considering that, it’s not a surprise to see them pursue multiple high-end international prospects.
According to Guardians Prospective, the team is the favorite to sign pitcher Andres Perez.

A native of Venezuela, Perez is training at Royalty Baseball Academy.
He won’t be eligible to sign with an MLB team until the 2026 international signing day.
There are a lot of factors that can impact a player’s career and development, from luck, to health, all the way to being in the right organization.
While making it to the majors is obviously the dream, picking the right place to start is crucial to their success.
Given the track record the Guardians have had over the years, it’s easy to understand why so many young players are eager to sign with them, including a number of middle infielders.
That’s not to say that every player the Guardians sign will turn out to be a star, or even wind up playing for them, but given the way they’ve fared in the past, you have to like their chances.
