Jose Ramirez continues to make Cleveland Guardians history almost every day.
The third baseman is contributing to all aspects of the game.
At 32 years old, he is one of the biggest base-stealing threats in the game.
That’s why, as crazy as it may sound, it shouldn’t be a surprise that he’s just three away from tying Omar Vizquel for the second-most stolen bases in franchise history (279), according to Cleveland Guardians On SI.

Notably, Ramirez still has a long way to go to catch Kenny Lofton, who had 452 stolen bases for Cleveland, but the fact that he’s already right there with Vizquel is telling.
Ramirez has 33 stolen bases this season, and with 25 home runs, he’s inching closer to another 30-30 season.
While he’s been going through a bit of a slump lately, the Guardians are still Ramirez’s team, and that’s going to be the case for the foreseeable future.
He’s shown no signs of slowing down and is arguably getting even better as the seasons go by.
The Guardians are fighting for a playoff berth, and plenty of that has to do with their superstar.
He should pass Vizquel this season, and it’ll be interesting to see if he can challenge Lofton’s record, although that seems like a bit of a long shot.
