The Cleveland Guardians have a long tradition of finding and developing some of the best infielders in the game.
They’ve been patient and understanding when it comes to growing their talents.
That’s why it’s not a surprise to see that Angel Genao might be finding his stride on offense.
As shown by Guardians Prospective on X, he recently hit his first home run of the season.

The homer at Double-A came during a three-hit outing, giving him his third consecutive multihit game.
The 21-year-old switch-hitter has always turned heads with his defense, but he wasn’t anything special at the plate earlier in his development.
That’s why it’s been so encouraging to see him catch fire after returning from injury.
He missed most of the first two months of the season and only recently joined Akron, where he’s slashed .321/.345/.500 with four multihit games in seven appearances.
Of course, he’s still got a long way to go, and he needs to keep climbing his way up the farm system before being a legitimate candidate to get a spot in Cleveland.
But if he keeps up the hard work, it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him get called up next season, especially with the Guardians’ questions at some infield positions.
